DYKKA Tape: How to choose the right size and technique for perfect results

When choosing a tape , it can be a challenge to get the right size and technique right the first time. You may need to try a few times before you find the method that works best for you. And that's okay!

One of the most common questions we get is: How do I know which size or technique is best for me? Don't worry, we'll figure it out together!

The good news? With enough tape, the right approach, and a little patience, you can use any width. But some may fit you better than others. Or you can mix and match different sizes—that's how you find your perfect application!

What can tape do?

DYKKA Tape can do a lot of magic! You can use it on:

🔹 Binding – Classic. For a flatter chest without restricting movement and visible straps.

🔹 Packing – Helps fix the packer so it stays exactly where it should.

🔹 Tucking – Creates a smooth and flat look when needed.

🔹 Push-up effect – Do you want to emphasize the shape of your chest without a visible bra? That's possible too!

How to choose the right size?

  • 7.5 cm – Great for targeted concealment of smaller areas, layering or fine-tuning details. Ideal for smaller busts or as a complement to a wider band.
  • 10 cm – A universal option suitable for most people. Provides good coverage and support without being too wide.
  • 15 cm – Best for larger busts or if you want to cover more area with fewer strips of tape. Helps distribute pressure evenly.

If you're still getting lost – don't stress! There's no universal rule about what exactly you'll need. Sometimes you just need to experiment and adjust your technique.

Safety first!

Try a test piece – Every skin reacts differently, so we recommend testing the tape on a small area first.

Do not overtighten the tape – Excessive tension can cause discomfort and reduce its adhesion.

Use SoftRealese Elixir or warm water when removing – Never rip the tape dry! This could irritate or damage the skin.

Before you begin

Before using it for the first time, do a test to see if your skin and the tape will be friends. Do you use our tape regularly? Even so, do a test with a new tape to see if your skin will get along with the tape. How to do it? Cut a narrow strip and stick it on the places where you will stick the tape and leave it there for a few hours. Is everything okay? You can start using it. Be gentle with yourself and do not stick the tape over open wounds or any irritated skin.

How to use tucking tape?

  1. The tape should be applied to clean, dry skin. Do not apply the tape to freshly shaved skin or full body hair. It is ideal to trim the hair very short.
  2. Cut 1 piece of tape as needed (approx. 10-20 cm).
  3. Trim and slightly round the corners of the tape to ensure it does not peel off.
  4. Prepare a covering layer to cover your genitals to avoid damaging their delicate skin when removing the tape. You can use gauze or at least toilet paper.
  5. If you are using 10 cm tape, one strip might be enough.
  6. Hide your testicles in the soft spot between your pelvic bones.
  7. Start applying the tape from the pubic bone downwards and backwards. It is ideal to apply it while squatting.
  8. Make sure the tape is comfortable and does not cause any discomfort.

How do you use binding tape?

  1. The tape sticks to clean and dry skin.
  2. Cut 2 pieces of tape as needed (approx. 10-20 cm).
  3. Trim and round the corners of the tape to ensure it does not peel off.
  4. Apply protective stickers over your nipples and NEVER tape directly to your nipples. Run out of masking stickers? Find a new set here.
  5. Start by applying the tape. The ideal place is a few inches in front of the nipple, where the most mass is. From the center of the chest, gently pull the breast and apply it downwards and towards the back. Do not apply the tape too close to your armpits, as it will come off and it will be uncomfortable.
  6. Make sure the tape is comfortable and does not cause any discomfort.

How to remove the tape?

To keep your skin in great condition and able to handle repeated taping without irritation or damage, we recommend removing it only with SoftRelease Elixir . This is the only way to remove the tape gently and effectively and minimize skin stress.

  1. Let the tape soak thoroughly with warm water or oil to make it easier to remove. Never rip it dry!
  2. Gradually remove the tape gently, if it still doesn't work well, you need to soak it more.
  3. Once you remove the tape, lubricate and massage the skin well to ensure it is well taken care of.

Taping takes some practice. You may have to change your technique a few times before you find the best one. And that's totally okay! Every body is different and there is no one right way to use tape.
