1. Val Thorens

This ski resort is located in the French Savoie region, near the Italian border. Why is it important? Every year, the resort hosts an LGBT+ ski week , and this year will be no exception. So if you want to enjoy the world's largest ski area with trails for skiers of all abilities, mark your calendars for March 16-23, 2024, and choose one of three admission prices on the festival website (for 499, 889, or 1,009 euros).

2. Kitzbühel : Kitz series

Besides being a renowned ski destination, Kitzbühel is also the setting for the crime series Kitz, which you can watch on Netflix . The story of a Munich teenage party includes not only suspense but also LGBTG+ romance.

3. Sölden : gay ski week

It's not just France that hosts LGBT+ ski events. Austria's Sölden also boasts a week full of skiing, parties, music and cabaret entertainment. Do you have a competitive spirit? Then don't miss the ski/snowboard race - even if you're not the fastest, you can still win a prize for the best costume or the downhill time that comes closest to the average of costume champions Sindy Sinful and Miss Latoya!

4. Turin : Italian capital of human rights

And finally, we will give you the venue of the 2006 Winter Olympics. But even those of you who are not too keen on sports will find something to enjoy. Did you know that the oldest European LGBT+ film festival takes place in the city in April? Or that a protest against a sexology congress took place here in 1971? And who knows, maybe we will see the planned LGBT+ history museum in time...
